Parents Association booth at family day

Parents' Association

Welcome to Northern Illinois University! We are excited that your student has decided to make NIU his/her academic home for the next several years. We hope that his/her college experience will be fulfilling and rewarding.

We are committed to providing family members with  meaningful opportunities to allow you to share in your student's college experience. This time can be an exciting time for you as well.

Becoming a member of the Parents’ Association is a great way for parents, family members, and other supporters to stay connected with life at NIU and informed of important dates and events that are important to you and your student. Research has shown that students who have family members who are involved with their college experience have an increased graduation rate. Joining the Parents’ Association gives you convenient and easy access to the university; we serve as your resource and guide while your student is here.

The Parents' Association is a self-funded organization, housed in the Division of Student Affairs. Because we are a self-funded organization, we highly depend on membership sales to sustain the services and quality events that we provide. We invite you to take part in all that the association has to offer! Again, Welcome to the Huskie Family!

Join the Parents' Association and begin enjoying the benefits today!
