Description of Volunteer Opportunities: Join us at the Greater Chicago Food Depository to help us earn credits for our agency and food pantry to purchase food for our poor and homeless clients. We need 12-18 volunteers to help us re-package bulk cereal or pasta, pack boxes, sort bread or canned goods etc. We could meet here or at the GCFD (4100 W. Ann Lurie Place, Chicago).

Description of Volunteer Opportunities: We are hosting a Pancake Breakfast to raise money to help support the Young Eagle rallies and an annual scholarship to a local high school senior who wishes to pursue an aviation related career. Breakfast will be Sunday, June 7 at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport at 7AM until 12PM. Volunteers will set up beginning at 5:45AM. Volunteers will help with the breakfast by cooking eggs & sausage, flipping pancakes, pouring juice, selling raffle tickets, etc.
DeKalb CROP Walk

Location: Westminster Presbyterian Church
Description of Opportunity: The CROP walk is a hunger walk for DeKalb county where we raise money just like they do for Relay for Life. A percentage of the money goes to the local community (Hope Haven, Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul, DeKalb Food Bank, and Sycamore Food Bank), the remaining money goes to fight hunger around the world
